Basically, Metamask is a browser extension that acts as a bridge between the user and the blockchain, allowing users to connect to decentralized applications, perform transactions in cryptocurrencies, store and sell NFTs, as well as manage their private key in a secure mode.
Metamask is a digital wallet that supports several blockchains, but its main integration is with the Ethereum network and any token based on it (ERC-20, ERC-721). Ethereum's cryptocurrency is called Ether, and when other cryptocurrencies are built on Ethereum's blockchain they are called tokens.

1.0 Go to the official Metamask website (https://metamask.io/), and click on download. Make sure you are at the correct address.

4.0After installation, the page you'll see below should open, if it doesn't you can click on the Metamask icon in your browser's toolbar. Click on the "Create a new wallet" button to start the configuration from zero.
5.0 After clicking "Create a wallet", Metamask will ask you if you want to share some data to improve the platform. It is completely optional, you decide if you want to or not.
6.0 Set a password with a minimum of 8 characters. It is important to remember that Metamask is not able to recover this password, so write it down in a safe place, as it will be needed to access your wallet in the future.
7.0 After creating your password you will be directed to "Secure Wallet" where you will receive guidance on your "Secret Recovery Phrase" and how to keep your wallet safe. The recovery phrase is a set of words used to connect to the wallet on any device, while the password you created earlier unlocks only the application.
8.0 The next step is the disclosure of your secret recovery phrase or backup phrase. Click "Reveal the Seed Words." Very importantly, save the phrase offline to prevent hackers from stealing your cryptocurrencies in case your devices are hacked. Metamask is not able to recover your recovery phrase, you are solely responsible for your passwords on Web3, so opt for strong passwords and store them in a safe place.
9.0 After writing down your phrase in a safe place, fill in the words in the order generated, the order in which they were generated is also part of security. The secret recovery phrase consists of 12 words.
